Valve Adjustment

 

Oil Change

 

Lubricate doors, bonnet, deck lid, and locks

 

Battery: add DISTILLED water

 

Battery Clean and grease terminals

@ Every 6,000 Miles

Adjust “V” belt tension

 

Adjust timing with timing light

 

Check air filter and air cleaner

 

Adjust throttle cut off valve

 

Check exhaust system for damage

 

Check and Adjust Clutch pedal free play

 

Check kick down switch (automatic trans)

@ Every 12,000 Miles

Maintenance tune up: clean, regap or replace

 

BOSCH spark plugs

 

BOSCH ignition points

 

BOSCH Distributor cap & Rotor

 

BOSCH Condenser

 

Fuel filter

@ Every 15,000 miles

Adjust Brakes

 

Adjust Master cylinder piston rod

@ Every 24,000 miles

Clean Cooling Fins on the Torque Converter

 

Change ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid): Especially if towing a trailer, stop and go traffic, or high temperature is involved with either of the two conditions.  (90% of all failures in Automatic Transmission are due to HEAT.

@ Every 30,000 miles

Repack front and rear wheel bearings with molybdenum grease

 

Change 85w90 in manual transmission

 

Change 85w90 in the carrier of automatic transmission

 

Check steering box and fill if required

 

Check Constant Velocity (CV) joints and repack

@ Every 60,000 miles

Disk brake rotors should be turned to remove ridges

 

Flush out brake system with new fluid
